Wireless networks are complicated
Wireless networks are based on radiosignals, in fact very weak signals. They are easily disturbed by other sources, which limit the range they work within. Nomal range for such equipment is by the manufacturer set to approx 300 meter in free line of sight under good conditions.
We operate with powerful antennas and sensible receivers to stretch the range of communication. But it is important to understand that we work with weak signals that need almost free line of sight and that there are huge limitations to how far they will reach.
If you experience a good signal one day and a bad the other day, it doesn’t neccessarily mean that there are something wrong. The signal is easily interupted by atmospheric noise, as well as noise from local sources, such as microwaves, wireless phones, etc.
Our system is primarily a “do it yourself system” as we do not have the capasity to install equipent at the recidents of our client or to search for problems. Our net is available for those that live or stay in the covered area, and we can provide simple phone support. More, like measuring signal or installation of equipment we are very limited to do at the moment.
